This is probably one of the last few gel-type body washes for guys out there (Old Spice used to carry one, but did away with it recently). I prefer the body washes like this over the straight-up liquid washes since a smaller amount of this type of wash goes a much longer way to lathering up and cleaning yourself.
I've been using this wash for at least 2 years now, it's getting harder and harder to find it in regular stores around town; almost everything is becoming that crappy liquid-style body wash that takes half the damn bottle per shower to get the same lathering power as a little teaspoon of this awesome Gillette wash.
I have no idea what the heck the other two reviewers here have been using, but this wash is great if you use it in a washcloth or shower ball / loofah. It's not greasy whatsoever, cleans dirt and grime just fine, and the other guy must have the most sensitive grout ever in his shower to have this product stain it.

During the winter, my skin drys up pretty easily. This doesn't rehydrate it immediately, but it's one of the hygiene products I switched. It's definitely thick and gives a nice lather, don't put too much of it on at once (which is what the other reviewers tried). I definitely like this one better than Old Spice's offering. The only thing I don't like is that you can still find this cheaper at times during a sale at Target.

I originally found out about this product because it was given out as a 1 ounce sample on a flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico to New York JFK in January. Genius marketing on the part of Dove - whoever thought to hand out a sample size lotion to a flight of sun-drenched dry-skinned passengers should be given a raise because I'm positive I wasn't the only one to go out and buy a full size when I got home. The lotion worked perfectly to calm and moisturize my VERY dry and itchy sun dried skin. And everyone else on the plane seemed to feel the same way. I bought a full size as soon as the sample size ran out, and I'm still loving it - it goes on silky smooth, absorbs very quickly, and really helps combat winter dryness. The best moisturizer I've ever used, hands down - except for one thing - the smell. I wish they would make an unscented or fragrance free version. The scent is very perfume-y and will clash with any perfume or other fragrance you may be wearing. DOVE - please make an unscented version. Other than the scent, this lotion works great and I will buy it again and would recommend it to anyone who has dry winter skin.

In my opinion, Intensive/Extra Dry Skin is the only formula of Cream Oil lotion that Dove needs to make! I've tried the Shea Butter and Pro Age, and this has them both beat! The Pro Age has a hideous odor. The Shea Butter smells a little better than Pro Age, but still not as nice as the Intensive/Extra Dry Skin formula. It's not thick or heavy-just the right consistency with the slightest hint of oil-not greasy. Please Dove, don't change anything about it!

I just bought this product at Whole Foods last week. I'm loving it already. The woman working in the health and beauty department there told me it was the best brush she's ever had. Her skin was like butter and she was probably in her mid thirties to early forties. I couldn't believe how smooth it was, so of course I bought it. I have no regrets. I was actually looking for a shower brush. You can use this in the shower if you want to, but it's really meant to be used as a dry brush. Wetting the wood will cause it to warp over time. Dry brushing is done right before you shower in long gentle strokes. It exfoliates the skin and stimulates the lymphatic system. I'm not sure about the second claim yet, but it certainly does a great job at leaving the skin smooth and vibrant. I think the benefits of using this brush for dry skin brushing as it was intended far outweigh any benefit acheived by using it in the shower with soap or body wash. Check out their reading room on the Yerba Prima website (just google yerba prima). I think I'll be using this for years to come.

Brush will become flexible w/use. Rub on your hands a little bit of aromatic oil and brush brush over your hands- the oil will soften the pips. Like many other reviewers I am not a professional photographer, and this is my first digital camera. I do like taking pictures though and I've dealt with a few nice film cameras and some nice Fujifilm cameras (a P;S, 'bridge camera' and a DSLR) and I feel like this camera is most definitely worth the price. The X500 is a bridge camera, almost a SLR and almost a point and shoot. But it boasts some great specs and features that you cannot find anywhere in this price range.
Pros. The 16 megapixel sensor is great. Most entry level cameras of any type and brand start off at about 12 MP right now. GE has this model at 16. I think the other 16 MP cameras are over twice the price of this one. You can see the difference when you zoom in on your computer, the clarity is apparent.
The zoom on the X500 is awesome. This camera has 15X optical zoom and along with digital zoom (digital zoom takes away image quality as you zoom in so just keep that in mind when using it) it has a total of 60X zoom.
The X500 has a panoramic mode which I love because I wanted a panoramic film camera and now I don't have to buy one. This camera also has a setting for everything from fireworks to snow to fisheye. More than just night and outdoors.. there are 20 different presets and thats not including the different modes the camera has for shooting (it has manual, very important!)
So far I've taken 100+ pictures and the battery is still full on the display. The manual says it'll shoot 300+ pictures on a set of 4 batteries... thats pretty good.
Not a pro for some, but this camera is a bit hefty. I like it because its like you are actually holding onto something. But it is heavier than I thought it would be.
Viewfinders are sometimes left out of cameras now because they all have screens, but this one has an electronic viewfinder (for those sunny days) I think thats a nice perk.
The video quality is better than I expected, though its not HD. The sound is so-so but thats the case on everything with a recorder.
Cons. The screen resolution and quality isn't the greatest (I have a 3 year old Creative mp3 player that has a much nicer screen and it's smaller.) Like most cameras though you look at the screen and its grainy and the color doesn't look quite right but you snap the picture/ upload and it looks like it should when its on the computer screen (or printed out.) I think they had to cut corners somewhere.
The lens pops out when you turn it on and the lens cap pops off, even if you just want to look at the pictures on your SD. And I also do not like the lens cap. It just slides on. No clips.
The sound effects were annoying, but theres a setting to turn it off (saves your battery anyway.)
Not a biggie but the SD slot is in the battery compartment. Just out of the way I guess.
The camera is a bit noisy, you can hear the processor working and the internal stuff moving around at times. More of a side note than a con though.
Bottom line is I'm not sure how long the X500 will last (because I got it in the mail two days ago) but so far I'm very glad that I bought this camera. It's a lot like Fuji's bridge camera and if you know the menus and buttons from their cameras then this thing will be a snap because its pretty much a carbon copy. The layout is simple enough for a beginner or teen who's looking into photography and it wont break the bank like a nikon or canon with the same specs.

I had purchased this specifically because I was doing a lot of hiking during an extended trip, and I wanted more than the 4x zoom on my cheap Nikon Coolpix S4000. Since at home my wife has a very nice DSLR with multiple lenses, I didn't want to buy a another DSLR or spend a lot of money on a nicer bridge camera. The previous version of this camera got good reviews, so bought this one just after it had came out.
Out of the box, the camera seems pretty solid, although the compact (but FAT) build is a little weird and takes some getting used to. I initially did a comparison to my $130 12MP Coolpix point-and-shoot, and immediately saw some issues with the photo quality. Like other reviews have stated, indoor pictures are not great, but actually not as bad as some. My Coolpix (like most point and shoot cameras) had some problems as well, but the quality was still noticeably better than the GE. When using the indoor program mode, the shots were acceptable. The outdoor shots were better, but not super great, either. Comparing the same shots with my Coolpix, the Nikon had consistently better pictures.
While for most this wouldn't be too much of a problem, when viewing the photos and zooming in past 100%, there is significant pixel noise on the GE. Again, comparing to my 12MP Coolpix, the same shot at the same zoom had significantly less noise on my Nikon than the GE. Overall, the biggest problem was the inconsistency of the photos. Even using the same settings only a few seconds apart, there were often differences in the exposure, balance, etc. My hundreds of outdoor shots were all over the place in terms of quality. The shots often had a washed-out appearance (which could be fixed in post-processing if necessary).
I took the GE on several hiking trips, and took hundreds of photos, using different program modes and settings, which improved the quality overall, but did not eliminate the inconsistency issue. The zoom was quick and the image stabilization worked very well. The battery life was excellent (although I did not use the flash too much). The focus is moderately quick compared to most point and shoot cameras, although slower than my Nikon. The video mode was poor, but that was expected. I also used the GE in a couple of museums, and using the Museum program mode, it took surprisingly good shots. I also toured an indoor wildlife museum, and using the flash it took some very fine pictures.
Unfortunately, after viewing all of the pictures, I decided to return the camera. I don't necessarily want to talk anyone out of buying this...for most casual users, this camera can take good shots, and the 15x zoom is awesome at this price. For still pictures, outdoor and lit indoor shots, the photo quality is fine (especially using the program modes or manual controls). To get this level of control and zoom, you're going to be paying over $200 for something else, and probably over $300 for anything really significantly better. However, as I often print my photos for framing, the inconsistent quality and extreme noise, even compared to my cheap Nikon, left me wanting a bit more.

Go ahead, smack me in the head. I was still using Photoshop Elements 6. But since I upgraded my PC I needed to upgrade to PE9. Why I didn't upgrade sooner I'll never know. The updated Spot Healing Brush uses image intelligence borrowed from Photoshop CS5 to analyze what's in an image and quickly de-clutter or repair photos. For instance, quickly get rid of an ugly garbage can, car or other object with a wipe of a brush, and the background will amazingly be filled in like the object was never there. This is a very cool feature and a must-have.
New Photomerge Style Match
Make an average photo into a work of art with the new Photomerge Style Match feature. It analyzes characteristics of any image, such as color tone, and applies them to another photo, so in essence you can replicate any photo style.
There are also new Guided Edit features to walk users through the process of eye-popping effects. You can make your photo appear to jump off the page using Out of Bounds 3D. Also, Elements now offers Layer Masks similar to Photoshop.
Improved Organization
Finally, Photoshop Element's excellent Organizer is offered on the Mac platform as well as Windows. The Auto Analyzer automates searching and assigns tags based on characteristics and quality such as lighting and focus. Apply Smart tags to photos as you import them. Smart tags identify images by quality, focus, contrast, exposure, the number of faces etc. Use a Tag Cloud to quickly find images with the most popular tags.
The People Recognition feature assigns people tags. As you identify people within photos, the program learns to recognize them. The more you identify them the better the software gets at recognizing them, even with other hairstyles or with or without sunglasses.
Photoshop Elements is actually composed of two programs, an extremely powerful image editor and an organizer. Many tasks can be done in the Organizer mode, including most common edits; for more complex edits you can switch over to the editor. The organizer program is still one of the best available, and the aforementioned Auto Analyzer and People Recognition features make it even better. At the heart of the Organizer is the capability of putting your images into albums and tagging them. The more you adopt this system, the easier it will be to use the sharing service, which uploads images album by album rather than image by image. However, if you just want to upload a couple of images you can put them into their own album. The synchronization capability is quite handy. If you make a change to an album on your desktop, the change will automatically be made in your online version. You can set your sharing to be private or public and automatically send invitations from MS Outlook. The backup system works by backing up your albums, not every individual image on your hard drive.
Recompose Photo Tool
This is a nifty tool that lets you automatically resize or change the orientation of photos without distorting key parts. In other words, you can choose which elements of a photo you want to keep and which ones to get rid of. Say you have a horizontal picture of two people and you want to make it vertical. You can select the elements and bits of background you want to keep and which ones to eliminate without distorting the people or background.
AutoFix Tools
The AutoFix Tools -- Smart Fix, Contrast, Tone, Color, Red Eye and Detail -- in the Organizer that can take care of common fixes. Other one-step tools include Touch Up Brushes for teeth whitening and making the sky bluer, and simultaneously selecting an area and applying an effect with one brush stroke. If you need more complex editing, without leaving Organizer you can switch over to Elements' full edit interface, which is easier to use now with icons and moveable, resizable tool panels.
Improved Sharing
You can now share photos pretty much everywhere. Post directly to Facebook, create unique interactive online albums,
Synchronize your photo and video clips between multiple computers. Elements lets you share your images or creations via iPhone, email, web/TV. Adobe offers a free basic membership to their online service, Photoshop.com that gives you 2GB storage, interactive sharing and access to your photos from anywhere. The Photoshop Plus Membership includes ongoing delivery of tutorials, artwork and templates, interactive photo sharing, access to your photos and videos from any computer, and 20 GB of online storage and automatic backup for a yearly fee.
Creative Projects
Create scrapbook pages, photo books, calendars, DVD labels, photo cards and more. A helpful new feature is the hugely flexible workspace which allows users to automatically place photos in a photo book template and access any Photoshop Elements editing feature from within the photo book layout mode. Elements has professionally designed clip art, templates, and themes. You can get additional templates with the Plus membership that are automatically delivered to your desktop.

I like the program and had previous versions. I wanted the new version and the price for the download through Amazon looked good. Since Adobe was also offering a rebate that seemed to be an excellent value. I received the download and was satisfied. Through Amazon or Adobe I got the instructions for obtained the rebate. I have gone through this process before and know that every "T" has be be crossed and every "I" dotted, so the followed the directions to the letter. Then months later the card from Adobe comes: "Unfortunately, your submission was denied for the following reason(s):
"Electronic software download forms must be from adove.com and include both an email confirmation ID and an order "
Well I keep copies of what I sent for the rebate and the rebate forms seem to be from Adobe though I received them as a part of Amazon download information. They had the order number from the confirmation e-mail on them. What more can a person do. Just don't expect to get a refund from Adobe, they don't trust anyone and make the procedure as commplicated as possible so they can turn down your request.

I had high hopes for this mask and it didn't disappoint. I left it on for much longer than the recommended 7 minutes - probably closer to 30 minutes. My hair was just that dried out. Afterwards, my hair was so silky smooth and soft - it didn't even resemble its' former self! Leaving it on that long, it did kind of dry to my hair and I probably had to rinse it longer than if I had just left it on for the 7 minutes. About a week later, I used it on my daughter's hair, left it on extra long again, but this time I put a shower cap over it until I rinsed it out. The shower cap kept it from drying to the hair so that's what I'm doing with from now on. This is just an amazing product and I look forward to using it!

This product says "unscented" all over it, but has a STRONG perfume smell - fragrance is listed as an ingredient. If you call, they will tell you that it is a "masking scent" - yes, I call that scented. I don't find it to be any milder than the regularly scented body washes.

I'm quite choosy about my hygienic products -- toothpastes, soaps, washes and so on. In an effort to find a bath wash that wasn't too obnoxious or coarse in it's ingredients, I've been through a couple brands. Knowing this, this one came as a gift from my girlfriend at the time. So far, this is one of my favorites. I don't really have sensitive skin per se but the mildness of both it's fragrance and it's texture, or lack thereof, work good for my skin. The only minus, though I personally don't mind, is that it is advertised as "unscented" yet a scent is clearly apparent.
It has no impact on the actual relevance of the product as a cleansing agent but I really like the look of the graphic design and industrial design of the product itself. The color scheme is nice and the bottle is easy to handle without slipping out of my hands. When the bath soap is getting low it also seems to do well at getting the last bits out unlike a lot of other brands I've tried where you have to pound the thing to get the last quarter of liquid out. The upside down orientation of the nozzle helps with this tremendously as does the shape of the bottle, I assume. Pretty good!

This is a very accurate method of tracking body composition changes and the Slim Guide Skin fold Caliper with the Booklet is a GREAT tool for doing this. I have used a few tools over the decades and for the price...this is a great tool!
The booklet DOES give you answers for 1, 2 and 4 location tests instantly without any complex math. (see P.S. at bottom.)
This is best used by taking measurements over a period of time and tracking changes. If your interest is simply to monitor your body composition over time for general health, once every one to three months is a good interval. If, on the other hand, you have a specific goal or are in an intensive nutrition/training cycle, you may wish to track once a week.
If you are looking to lose weight (by losing excess fat) ...measuring Lean Body Mass and Body Fat is the only way to insure you are not losing muscle and water.
Many diets cause massive losses of water and muscle (very low calorie and low carbohydrate diets for example)...leading to a quick regain of pounds at some point. If you are on a diet program, and nobody is measuring your Lean Body Mass and Body Fat, you simply do not know what your body is doing.
So you know my credentials, I have been involved in health and fitness for over 20 years as a Body Builder, Body Sculptor, Trainer, Consultant, Coach and many other positions in the field. I am currently the Director of Personal Success Now.
For the best accuracy with this...
You should have the same person take the measurements at the same time of day. You should take your body weight (needed to determine Lean Body Mass and Body Fat) on THE SAME SCALE at the same time of day every time. The first time, you should measure how far down the Biceps and Triceps you take the measure and make a note. Make a picture diagram of where you take the other two measurements (below the shoulder blade and the side of the waist.) There are directions and diagrams to help you in the book, so don't worry about a thing.
Also, note what cloths you were wearing when you weigh yourself on the scale...always wear them for the weigh-in. Take a photograph of yourself now It is very helpful to see images of yourself at 30% bodyfat, then at 25%, then at 20%, then at 18%! If you feel shy, take them yourself in front of a mirror!
You will be glad you did. Just trust me on that.
If the program you are following is not giving you results in three weeks, something is not right. Get some help from a knowledgeable and qualified trainer. They can help you shorten the time it takes to reach your goals and be Your Personal Best.
Always ask potential program managers/trainers how they will help you achieve your goals. If they will not be using these components to help you...consider finding someone else:
1) Food and Nutrient intake monitoring
2) Cardiorespiratory Training
3) Resistance Training
4) Personal Assistance including Body composition monitoring
Additionally, if you are looking to lose body fat, you should consider removing foods with flavorings, colorings, additives, and preservatives from your diet at this time, as clinical tests have demonstrated that some of these can adversely effect bodyfat mobilization (i.e. fat burning) and some even enhance fat storage and stimulate the appetite.

It is important to know up front that you will need another person to help you if you wish to get the most accurate results using this method of body composition monitoring. To more accurately determine your Lean Body Mass and Body Fat, you take caliper measurements from 1, 2, 3, 4, or 7 (or even 9) locations on the body. 2 of these are from behind: Just below your shoulder blade and the back of your arm (which you can reasonably do alone.) There is an option to use a measurement from only one location (front of the arm) to determine bodyfat, however this is not as accurate as taking it from multiple (3+)locations.

The Slim Guide calipers are a decent alternative to the Lange or other, higher end calipers. While not quite as accurate, you will get a similar reading on this $20 version as you do on the $150-$300 calipers, as long as you are a reliable, experienced tester.
While I recommend spending the extra money for the best calipers that produce the most accurate results, these aren't bad for someone just starting out.

You know, I've been looking for weeks for this item in the stores and haven't found it, so I am super hyped that it is on Amazon. I primarily use it on my daughter (4 years old). Her skin gets dry and sometimes ashy during the winter. This stuff is perfect for her. It has never irritated her skin and leaves it soft and smooth. She loves it because it leaves a little sparkle on her skin- It makes her feel like a princess! And it's a superior alternative to regular body lotion. Why? Well, first, you apply it in the shower and rinse it off. This is a bonus for me because while I'm applying it, I've already applied the conditioner to her hair and it gives it time to soak in. And let me tell you, for anyone who has ever applied lotion to a child (or yourself)and then expected to put their PJ's or clothes on them immediately afterward.. you've got another thing coming. It's a hassle to have to have her wait to get dressed while the lotion soaks in. By doing it in the shower- she's ready to get into her PJ's as soon as I towel her off! I highly recommend this product over regular body lotion. Suitable for all skin types and ethnicities (my daughter is mixed) I even use it in the winter- and my skin is normally oily. But- as you age, your skin becomes drier.
Oh, and you don't get that greasy "lotion didn't soak all they way into my hands after applying" feel either. Which -I absolutely hate. Awesome Awesome product! So GLAD Amazon has it!

The reason I bought this product the first time is because it had a small tag line under the brand name of being a sensual moisturizer that intrigued me. After trying it one time, I have been a complete fan of this moisturizer. It soaks right in and never leaves my legs feeling greasy or dry. Use it after bathing and you will see a total difference in the way your skin feels. The scent is light (I really don't notice it at all)but if you prefer unscented-Neutrogena does sell an unscented version. And it's also great to use on your partner because the scent that is there is neither feminine or masculine and it helps your hands glide...I have had no complaints. ;-)

I've been using a 50:50 mix of Neutrogena sesame oil and baby oil for more than 25 years to remoisturize my otherwise chronically dry skin after showering, swimming, etc. The sesame oil is hydrophilic and therefore absorbed well by wet skin. The baby oil (light mineral oil)is hydrophobic so it stays on the skin surface as a light protective coating and lubricant. An inexpensive year-round basic skin care formula for body, hands, feet, and face. Apply while your skin is still wet for best results.

This is one of the few oil controlling lotion I've ever used that worked for me. It controls oil all day and does not dry out or irritate my sensitive skin. To me the scent smells like garden soil. It reminds me of eating carrots straight from my parent's garden when I was a kid.

I have to admit, I wasn't so crazy about this product at first. It irritated my skin and my skin was still shiny after using it. However, I rated it a 5 star because I have super sensitive skin and like this option of a non-chemical and natural solution. It did take me a while to get used to it, but the stinging sensation did go away, my skin was no longer oily, and it cleared up my skin a lot. All I can say is to give it some time.

Finally an acne product that does what it says it does! We tested the product on two types of skin -- oily, breakout-prone and normal. This is a great soap for people who suffer from breakouts on their body. The soap takes oils away from your skin, which prevents acne breakouts. On the other hand, it isn't good for people without that kind of skin problem. For these people, it leaves their skin feeling dry. The soap has a very nice, non-intrusive smell. The microbeads rub dead cells off your skin. Overall, great soap if used for its purpose!

This is, hands down, the best body lotion I've used. I have extremely dry, very fair (w/ freckles) skin and have had a lifetime of being embarrassed over the skin bumps on my arms and legs that were bad enough to make me wear long-sleeved shirts and pants in the hot summer months.
I started learning more about parabens potentially contributing to cancer (they've found parabens in the tumors removed from womens' breasts), among other things (I've gone organic/vegan wherever possible). While there are other good, all natural lotions (Hugo's Naturals is great!), I am more than willing to give up the 100% natural ingredients to make Alba's Very Emollient Body Lotion, Maximum Dry Skin Formula w/ AHAs my go-to lotion for life.
I have used PLENTY of lotions with AHAs and others that claim to be designed to heal skin bumps (there's a name for it that I can't think of, and if I could I wouldn't know how to spell it, and I don't want to look it up right now). I did not buy this lotion for my skin bump problem - I bought it because it was on sale, 100% vegetarian, and paraben-free. Low and behold...skin bumps VANISHED within a week! Not only is this a GREAT moisturizing lotion (I used to swear by Avon's Intense Moisture Therapy for skin moisturizing), it is light (but extremely effective), smells nice, and keeps my skin glowing and bump-free.

UPDATE (1/8/12): I bought the new, improved formula - twice. The first time I purchased the new, improved forumla I found the lotion to be gritty. I tossed the bottle without intending to ever try it again. Recently I ordered another bottle on Amazon, hoping to be shipped someones leftover original formula supply, though I received the new, improved formula. This time it wasn't at all gritty.
I don't notice an awful smell or burning like some others who've posted reviews. I also haven't had issues with my skin bumps returning, so I'm going to assume that the new and improved formula is just different. It still seems to work fine, but I wouldn't consider it "improved". It does seem, though, to be hit or miss regarding what you end up with. Others have claimed "faulty" product, as did I with my first "gritty" bottle. So, give it a try, but if you have sensitive skin try it on a small section for a few days first!
With this update and because of the uncertainty of the product from bottle to bottle, I'm changing my rating from 5 to 3 stars. It is now an average rather than awesome product.

This is hands down my favorite body lotion. I have year-round dry skin, and it is so hard to find a lotion that will moisturize my skin thoroughly without leaving "build-up". The Very Emollient Body Lotion absorbs completely into my skin and moisturizes better than many other brands I have tried (Aveda, Lush, Bath ; Body Works etc...). The fact that it absorbs completely makes it perfect for use in the summer. It's like I don't even have lotion on, just naturally healthy soft skin. I personally like the smell quite a bit. It smells like aloe vera and chamomile. It's clean, light, and--as another reviewer mentioned--does not conflict with perfumes.
A Note to Buyers:
While the price listed is the average price you will see this lotion being sold for, I have found it at many stores for less. Mostly at stores that specialize in organics. I've seen it being sold at Whole Foods for $15 (regular price, not sale). So, check your local co-op, or Whole Foods.
